JOIN USThe fifth phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections saw a turnout of 63.38%, as voters in 51 constituencies from seven states queued up before booths on Monday.
EC officials, however, said that the turnout would go up when the final reports from all polling stations would come in. The Lok Sabha constituencies, which went to the polls in the fifth phase, had registered an average turnout of 61.79% during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
