Why didn't Modi order probe on Pulwama?: Abdullah

Regional National Conference (NC) president and former Union minister Farooq Abdullah on Saturday compared outgoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi with former German dictator Adolf Hitler.

"Like Modi is saying ‘Sabka Saath Sab ka Vikas’ (collective efforts inclusive growth), Hitler was saying same things back then in Germany," he said while addressing an election rally in Khanyar area of old city Srinagar.

Abdullah said that 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in an attack in south Kashmir’s Pulwama ‘but Modi did not ask for a probe.’

"40 troopers died in Pulwama and Modi is only saying Balakot, Balakot Balakot… Did he ask for a probe?" the NC president questioned.

He alleged that Modi was fooling people by showing 'fake' war with Pakistan. "They (BJP) are beating the drums in the name of Balakot strike," he added.

Abdullah, also a three-time former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, warned Delhi that people of Jammu and Kashmir were ready to fight against abrogation of Article 370 and 35A.

Responding to BJP national president Amit Shah's recent assertions that the saffron party will revoke Article 370 and Article 35A in 2020, if it returns to power, he said, "Amit Shah, if you have guts then visit Kashmir and face the people."

The former Union minister also mocked at national media for never showing the truth to the masses and requested people of Kashmir to vote for a "perfect" government.
