The Maharashtra government has announced its plan to hold its first ever global investors summit next month, which would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Titled as the Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence 2018 Global Investors Summit, to be held from 18-20 February, the summit would see a participation from India Inc and top global companies.

With tagline #MadeForBusiness, it is one of the big events that Mumbai would witness post prime minister's Make in India initiative in Feb, 2016.
The event will be organised by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's most-ambitious project, the Samruddhi Corridoor that would connect Mumbai to its winter capital Nagpur, would be among the projects that would be showcased during the summit.

According to officials of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), the expressway would have access control and would be 7 meter above land level. It will have 3+1 lanes on either side of the median, concrete pavement and the design speed would be 150 kms per hour.
