Food, beverage, wine and music will be in abundance at the upcoming New Delhi Palate Fest (NDPF) 2015. It is the second edition of the foodie’s event and will be much bigger than before. This year it will be spread over nine acres, and indeed is the biggest international food festival in the country.

Palate Fest Pvt Ltd is in association with New Delhi Municipal Corporation and Incredible India. This year over 50 leading restaurants will be showcasing their individual culinary expertise and more than 50 stalls will be promoting Indian and International gourmet products and ingredients. The festival features kitchens from India’s finest culinary names along with wide spread gastronomical delights to choose from. The festival serves a combination of sunshine brunch and dinner under the stars, classes with upcoming chefs cooking along with highly renowned chefs, unique dishes, live entertainment and food market.

Chef Vicky Ratnani who will hold a live cooking show at the festival, tells Metrolife, “It is my first time at the palate festival. I will have my show on Sunday where I will be holding a demo class for the new dishes I have conceptualised.”

Ratnani is a celebrity chef who runs the show Vickypedia on Zee Khana Khazana. According to him, none of the dishes that he will present at the fest are inspired or belong to particular cuisine. He will be preparing Wild Mushroom Parte with Chicken and Beetroot, Spring Onion Foam, Blackened Spice and Cottage Cheese Steak.

Also, Farzi Café is going to be a stall among many this year. Cafe owner Solani Priya Kapoor tells Metrolife,“Wanting to bring Indian cuisine back ‘in-vogue’ and ‘cool’ for diners of all ages, we stand out and thus the origin of the modern Indian bistro — Farzi Café. It is for all those who love Indian food with their global favourites and are exploring experiencing the next level of Indian cuisine.”

This year, the cafe will have dishes like the Galouti burger, roast tawa boti, Tandoori wild mushrooms, truffle and walnut dust, Dal chawal arancini, achaar-papad-chutney, Tempura fried prawns, nimboo mirch aire, Smoked bacon and pyaaz ki kachori, aloo rassa reduction and Fresh fruits and dark chocolate panjiri tart.
