Shuttling between Chennai and Bangalore, actress Bhavana Rao seems to be having the time of her life. With two of her Tamil films having released recently and one Kannada movie set to hit the screen, the Gaalipatta actress is happy with the way her career is shaping up.

What’s more? She is delighted to have had the opportunity to experiment with different kinds of roles too. Currently in the City, Bhavana tells Metrolife that she is glad to be back home. “There’s no other place I’d rather be right now. I have been travelling continuously all this time. The weather is something I thoroughly missed and I am loving every minute of it here,” she adds.

After a long gap, Bhavana will be seen in a Kannada movie called Money Honey Shani. But the actress makes it very clear that this is no comeback movie. “This is not my comeback film. I hate it when people call this a comeback.

I never left Kannada movies in the first place for me to come back. I have always been a part of the industry and being a Kannadiga, my priority has always been working here. It’s just that I was busy with loads of other work, including my dancing and Tamil films. So, I couldn’t sign on anything here. But I was always open to interesting scripts and when Money Honey Shani came along, I really liked the story. Now I am eagerly awaiting the release of the film,” she says.

Shown in a completely new avatar in Money Honey Shani, Bhavana plays the role of a girl who is always after money. “Working in this movie has been a pleasure and a lot of fun. There were very few people on the sets and the humour both on and off the sets just kept us going. This will be a very different kind of a film and I hope the audience too will appreciate what the film-makers have tried here,” she adds.
Post her debut in Kola Kolaya Mundhirika, Bhavana has received a very good
response in the Tamil film industry too.

Ask her if she every expected all of this and she says, “As an artiste, I have never expected anything. Each day, I come on the sets and do my work sincerely be it in Tamil or Kannada films. And I am glad that people have
appreciated my efforts.”
