Benny Dayal among highlights of IIM fest

Bollywood singer Benny Dayal performed at IIM Bangalore on Saturday night as part of the three-day cultural festival ‘Unmaad 2019’.

He began the concert with ‘Oora Paaru’ from his latest album ‘Funk Katcheri’, followed by numbers like ‘Podrom Paadrom Killikirom’ and ‘Poovey’.

The crowd loved his Bollywood hits ‘Let’s Nacho’, ‘Badtameez Dil’, ‘Ude Dil Befikre’ and several others. It was a laser-drenched stage with some cool pyrotechnics.

The fest began on a vibrant note on Thursday. Day one saw events like ‘Tug of Words’ (a quiz), ‘Action Packed’ (a game like charades), ‘I’m Sherlocked’ (a treasure hunt), ‘Gangs of Unmaad’ (a series of challenges), ‘Life in Technicolor’ (story and painting), ‘Anaahad’ (vocal music), ‘Haute Couture’ (a fashion show) and ‘Footloose’ (freestyle dance competition).

On the second day, there were events like ‘Get Set Solo’ (solo dance competition), ‘Nautanki Rang Birangi’ (a drama competition), ‘Kissa Kaviyon Ka’ (poetry contest in Hindi), ‘Beg Borrow Selfie’, ‘Relay Rangoli’ (which had teams from colleges as well as corporate houses working in tandem to create rangoli designs in relay without talking with their teammates), and ‘Noteworthy’ (acoustic band competition with both western and eastern fusion bands).

Other events of the day included ‘Chef’s Hat’ (culinary event), ‘Mr and Ms Unmaad’, ‘Classic Spin-offs’ (literary competitiom), and ‘The Ultimate Tamashebaaz’ (dramatics).

As a part of the World Cultural Festival, renowned sword-swallower artist Murray Molloy left the audience gasping with his feats at the Open Air Auditorium. Another event which
enthralled the gathering was the act of the world famous illusionist Suhani Shah.

The day also saw trained artistes from the KTM team perform stunts.
