As awareness and exposure increases, youngsters want their sartorial style to reflect their personality. This is especially true of college students, who look for new trends every season and are willing to experiment.
Light fabrics, light colours
Every college-goers wardrobe should have a mix of light and light-bright colours in organic breathable fabrics. Given it’s summertime now, I often see girls wearing loose dresses in white and light colours which I think are perfect for hanging out with pals in the evening. Loose and comfortable linen or cotton tops, paired with short denims, are ideal college wear which will never go out of fashion.
Cool crop tops
A lot of girls (including me) go crazy over crop tops paired with skinny jeans or playful skirts during summer. This cool look can be complemented by fancy belts or jewellery.
Classy polka dots
Polka dots is an undying trend. They are super classy and fun and they can be used anywhere — dresses, swimsuits, tops, shorts, shoes, bottoms and more. It’s easy to mix patterns with polka dots without overwhelming the look.
Trendy jumpsuits with simple jewellery
This is one of my favourite summer looks. Comfortable yet funky, jumpsuits look good with fancy shirts or t-shirts and can be accessorised with simple yet significant jewellery. They are available in a wide variety of colours, patterns and combinations which makes this look even more enticing and playful.
Florals remain fresh
Besides Polka dots, florals is another trend that will not be fading anytime soon. Florals are fun on their own; you can never go wrong with whichever floral you choose.
Incorporate seasonal trends
You can ensure you remain chic by incorporating seasonal trends into your closet but only invest in those that you really love and feel comfortable in. Another must-do is to build a basic wardrobe like a great fitting tee, denims, dresses and shorts, before incorporating trends. This adds value to your wardrobe miraculously.
