The Deccan Herald Metrolife Fashion Show 2018 opened on August 25 with a bang. The second preliminary round of the eighth edition of the show will be held at CMR Law College on September 1. Judges and guests from the show tell us about why they like being a part of the show.
“The show has surprised me every year. It has been fun to see the fresh and new talent. There are so many aspiring models and inspired designers at work, which is quite impressive. Good choreography is another highlight of the show. The themes depicted range from wild to classy. Every year I take back something from the show and I hope that the upcoming rounds will also showcase new designs and creative minds at work.”
“I have judged many of the previous editions and I have seen the show grow in leaps and bounds. The energy and enthusiasm of the students is mind-boggling. I never got a chance like this when I was a student. The show acts as a great platform for upcoming models and designers and has encouraged new talent in the industry. From complex designs to suave silhouettes, I hope the show encompasses it all this year too.”
“Being a part of the fashion industry, I believe that this show is a great platform for new talent. I hope to see confident models walk the ramp, as well as dazzling designs, rule the show. A fashion show includes creativity and dedication and I am excited to see what the teams will showcase. Nowadays, a lot of designs are copied from big shows. I am looking forward to seeing out-of-the-box outfits which are feasible to be walked in.”
