When radio jockey-turned-actor Vinayak Joshi set out to make a web series in Kannada titled 'Joshelay', little did he think that it would win him so much of support.

The yet-to-release web series has turned out to be better than what Vinayak expected. He is now ready to release the audio in the second week of April.

There are seven songs for all the seven episodes and all the songs are designed to be very futuristic.
Vinayak is confident that the songs will never go out of fashion for at least the next 10 years.

The songs, explains Vinayak, is a collage of many indie artists in Kannada and all of them are popular on the internet.

The music director Dheerendra Doss aka Dossmode, who is an independent electronic artist, is known for his original and lively renditions. Vinayak says that singers who have been roped in have all made a name for themselves in the music industry. The singers and musicians include Dheerendra Doss, Varijashree Venugopal, Chandan Shetty, Amyth and Sujith Venkataramaiah and Hemanth Jois.

"Chandan Shetty is a sought-after Kannada rapper, Varijashree is currently trending in US and UK and is known for Indo-western fusion singing, Sujith and Amyth Venkataramaiah are brothers who have made a track and Hemanth Jois is a popular Indie musician in the internet circuit," adds Vinayak.

About the idea and thought behind creating the music, Vinayak explains, "Music is the best way to reach out to a larger group. I can say from experience that sound is always personal experience because I come from a radio background. The music in the series is kept contemporary and futuristic. It is sure to touch people's lives in many ways."

'Joshelay' is directed and written by Vinayak. "I am the narrator of the series and I tell stories of ordinary people around me. We have featured people with different kinds of disabilities and I have tried to bring them into limelight for a good reason. I have narrated stories that I see around me. This series is more like an introspective piece," adds Vinayak.
And it certainly sends out a strong message, "I urge people to stand up for themselves and keep the spirit of fighting alive," he adds.

The series has many unique features and one of them is that the audio will be available on all digital platforms like YouTube, Saavn, Wynk, Gaana and Apple music. "I didn't want people to end up paying for the music. I want everybody to be able to access the music and enjoy it," Vinayak
signs off.
