Minor girl’s murder: no breakthrough in case

The police are yet make a breakthrough in connection with the rape and murder of a minor girl near Sagri in Udupi on March 10.

The body of the 17-year-old victim, hailing from Nittoor area, was found near a forest in Sagri.

SP Nisha James said that four teams, led by inspector-level police officers, had been formed to nab the culprits. “We are confident of nabbing the culprits at the earliest,” she said.

The police had registered a case under IPC Section 302, 376 and various sections of Pocso Act.
