JOIN USA case of an 11-year-old minor girl delivering a baby has come to light in Punjab’s Ludhiana.
The minor girl and the newborn baby girl are said to be out of danger.
On Sunday, a private ambulance drove a family to the emergency gate of the local civil hospital in Ludhiana. The minor girl with a 1.5 kg newborn, along with her parents, were dropped at the gate after which the ambulance is said to have left in a jiffy.
Considering the critical condition, doctors rushed the girl and the newborn to the maternity child care ward at the hospital where she is being treated. According to sources, the parents of the minor girl, when asked to fill the documents, disclosed that the age of their daughter was 11 years and that she had delivered the baby. The police, while saying that the case was being investigated, maintained that the age of the minor girl is being medically examined.
The parents are tight-lipped on the matter. According to sources, the minor girl was first taken to a private hospital when her condition deteriorated, prior to the delivery. After the delivery her parents brought her to the hospital.
