Hyderabad:2 students crushed to death under school shed

In a shocking incident, two children Mani Krishna (9) and Chandana (8) lost their lives when a shed under which they were undergoing karate training collapsed on them here on Thursday.

Three other children have been seriously injured in the incident, which took place in New Centurion School at Vivekananda Nagar near Kukatpally on the outskirts of the city.

According to Kukatpally Police, the shed located at distance from the classrooms was standing on a weak brick wall and collapsed, crushing the Class IV students.

The school staff immediately rushed to the spot and removed the heavy blocks of the wall.

While two died on the way to hospital the others are being treated. The condition of one of the injured is said to be critical.

The Kukatpally Police registered a case and are investigating.
