How to vote #India:Google Doodle marks LS poll phase IV

Following in the trend of the first three phases of the Lok Sabha elections 2019, Google India is paying homage to the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections by displaying an inked finger in its doodle. The doodle opens up to a page that displays the process of voting in the elections.

Over 12.79 crore people in nine states are eligible to vote this time. A toal of 961 candidates will be contesting in the fourth phase of polling in 71 Lok Sabha constituencies.

The key contestants in the fourth phase of elections include Kanhaiya Kumar from the Communist Party of India (CPI), who will be taking on Union Minister Giriraj Singh in Begusarai, Bihar.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath's son, Nakul, will be contesting from Chhindwara, a constituency in which Kamal Nath himself won a record nine times.

Babul Supriyo of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Urmila Matondkar of the Congress are the other key candidates who will be taking part in the fourth phase of the elections.

The remaining phases of the Lok Sabha elections will be conducted on May 6, 12 and 19, while the results will be declared on May 23.
