AICC has to decide on Varanasi candidature: Priyanka

AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has said that she will contest from Varanasi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi if the party asks.

Priyanka, who was on a two-day campaign at Wayanad for her brother and Congress president Rahul Gandhi, did not speak much on the matter, other than saying that the AICC have to take a call.

Priyanka called on the family of CRPF jawan Vasantha Kumar who was killed in the Pulwama terror strike. She also met Sreedhanaya, the first person from Kurichiya tribal community in Kerala who was recently selected to the Civil Services. She visited some tribal colonies of Wayanad and had lunch from a house in a colony.

During her public addresses at Wayanad, Priyanka strongly attacked the policies of the BJP government at the centre.
