Bees attack Jagan's 'padayatra' in West Godavari district

YSR Congress chief and Leader of the Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had a miraculous escape from a bee attack on Thursday morning, while he was on his “Praja Sankalpa Pada Yatra” in West Godavari district.

The incident occurred within a few hours after the padayatra entered the 183rd day at a camp outside the Nadipallikota-Kanuru Cross Road, where Jagan will be staying overnight.

While it is unclear whether someone disturbed the hive, people started panicking as several supporters who were following Jagan ran down the road to escape.

Jagan’s security personnel and party workers immediately picked up a few towels and started using them as fans, paving a clear way for their leader to pass safely.

Jagan has been crisscrossing Andhra Pradesh by his walkathon mostly through the rural district roads to meet an array of people. He seldom walks through cities or on national highways to avoid causing trouble to commuters.
