BJP to embark on mass outreach drive

Last Updated 27 May 2018, 18:56 IST

To reach out to people in a year full of elections, the BJP will roll out the 'Sampark for Samarthan' (Connect for Support) campaign from Monday, where party workers, right from booth-level workers to party president, will reach out to the common man to explain the Narendra Modi government's achievements and social initiatives.

This programme is part of a series of such publicity programmes by the government, which completed four years in power on Saturday.

BJP national media chief Anil Baluni said Shah himself will lead the programme by meeting at least 50 people and talking to them about the government schemes that have been initiated to help the underprivileged.

As per the plan, the BJP central leadership wants every party worker to meet at least 10 people to inform them about the government's achievements and schemes.

The party worker can take "talking points" from the "Sampark for Samarthan" section in the NaMo App.

The prime minister will also reach out to people through NaMo App on Monday and Tuesday to discuss the Ujjwala Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna, Baluni said.
