The flight developed technical snag 90 minutes after it took off. One of its engines developed trouble, airport sources said. The JetLite flight left the N S C Bose International Airport at 6:05 pm for Bangalore. Mid-way, one of its engines developed trouble and the pilot decided to return, the sources said.
The plane landed safely at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International airport at around 7:30 pm, according to the airport officials. The passengers were later accommodated in another flight to Bangalore, the sources added.
