CEOs debate Gandhigiri at IIM-K

Fourteen CEOs from across the country attended the event to discuss the theme: “Timeless Leadership: What Sustains Leaders.” Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Salman Khurshid pointed out in his keynote address that there was a big gap between the “public life of a politician and the public life of the common man.” According to him, real leadership lay in not necessarily going to a Dalit’s house, “but inviting him to yours.”

IIM Director Prof Debashish Chatterjee spoke about the “critical importance of listening” or a CEO and how the Mahatma portrayed these values in person travelling to the nook and corner of the country.

The evening ended on a high note with assorted clippings from the movie Gandhi.
