KCR visit to Visakhapatnam before Federal Front talks

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was accorded a rousing welcome upon his first visit to port city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. He arrived in Visakhapatnam before embarking on a four-State tour as part of his efforts to garner support a non-Congress and non-BJP coalition of regional parties at national level.

He visited Sri Rajashyamala temple on the premises of Sri Sarada Peetham following his resounding victory in the recent Assembly elections. He was accompanied by his family members along with Rajya Sabha member J Santosh Kumar, Political Secretary Seri Subash Reddy, MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy and others.

At the airport he was welcomed by his fans with garlands and slogans of “Jai KCR”. KCR and his entourage were given tight security by the AP state police. Enroute to Sri Sarada Peetham at Chinamushidiwada on the city outskirts, fans have erected flexi banners welcoming KCR.

At the Sri Sarada Peetham, Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members were welcomed by the Peetham pontiff Swaroopanandendra Swamy himself as per tradition with Poorna Khumbham and Vedic hymns. KCR participated in a special puja at the temple of Sri Rajashyamala Devi and other deities on the premises. After lunch, he left for Bhubaneswar where he will hold discussions with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on issues related to federal front. He will also visit West Bengal and New Delhi in this trip.

From 25 December for about two to three days CM KCR will remain in New Delhi. CM will also make a courtesy call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his stay. KCR will also call on Central Election Commissioner. CM KCR will also call on BSP President, UP former CM Mayavati and UP former CM Akhilesh Yadav. CM KCR will also be meeting the Union Ministers concerned at the Centre and discuss on issues related to the state with them.
