Two fishermen groups attacked each other using countrymade bombs at the coastal village of Idinthakarai near the Kundankulam Nuclear Power plant (KNPP).
The police here said the clash broke out over the fishing and boat anchoring area and that nobody was injured in the incident as none of the country bombs exploded.
A few bombs have been recovered from the fishermen. Additional police personnel rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. On November 26, five persons, including a woman and three minors, were killed.
