While Kangana Ranaut got in the crosshairs of the Congress due to her tweets on various issues, including the farmers' protests against the Centre's new agricultural laws, one former Congress minister made some deregotary remarks on the actor.

Congress MLA Sukhdev Panse called the actor ‘nachne-gane wali’, stirring a new controversy. He used the words against the Bollywood actress over her statements on farmers’ agitation against farm laws.

“Kangana jaisi nachne gaane wali mahila kisanon ke swabhiman ko thes pahuchaye [Woman like Kangana, who dances and sings, hurt farmers' self-respect], but the police baton charges Congress workers who are standing up for the farmers,” ANI quoted Panse as saying.

Hitting back, Kangana Ranaut addressed the Congress leader as "fool", and also targeted other Bollywood actresses.

"Whoever this fool is does he know I am no Deepika Katrina or Alia.... I am the only one who refused to do item numbers, refused to do big hero ( Khan /Kumar) films which made entire Bullywoodiya gang men +women against me. I am a Rajput woman I don’t shake a*s I break bones (sic)," she tweeted.

Meanwhile, Congress workers, moving towards Sarni in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district on Saturday to protest against Kangana Ranaut at a film shoot site, were allegedly caned by police who also used water cannons.

This is the second day Congress workers, who want the actor to apologise for her tweets, faced police action for trying to protest at Ranaut's film shoot site.

Earlier, Congress leaders in Betul district had threatened that they would not allow Ranaut to shoot for a film if she does not apologise to farmers over her tweets. Ranaut, is shooting for the movie ‘Dhaakad’ in Betul currently.

The Bollywood actor, on Republic Day, had tweeted, "Sick and tired of riots and blood bath almost every month , Delhi, Bangalore and now again Delhi #दिल्ली_पुलिस_लठ_बजाओ #RedFort."
