The party is likely to articulate its criticism of CPM, its leadership and the cadres for leading the Left Front to such a massive debacle.
While the party has done well in Kerala and Tamil Nadu by winning 13 and 9 seats respectively, it could win only two seats in West Bengal. CPI General Secretary AB Bardhan has expressed his party’s disappointment over the style of functioning of the CPM.
The CPI’s stand will have implications on the Left Front’s assessment of the political strategy in West Bengal, because it is going to be very different from that of the CPM.
