Ministry of Home Affairs has sought 'cyber volunteers' to check objectionable content online including what it terms anti-national material.
The move has received flak saying the move is another attempt at muzzling free speech in the country. India has also dropped two positions in World Press Freedom Index, at 142 out of 180 countries, below worn-torn Afghanistan.
