<p>A medium-intensity earthquake hit Haryana's Jhajjar on Monday, less than 24 hours after another quake struck the region, the National Centre For Seismology said.</p>.<p>The quake, measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale, struck at 6.28 am at a depth of 10 km. Tremors were also felt in the national capital, it said.</p>.<p>Another medium-intensity earthquake had hit the same location on Sunday.</p>.<p>Vineet Kumar Gahalaut, the director of the NCS, said Delhi and its nearby areas are situated on the top of fault lines and fall in Seismic Zone IV.</p>.<p>"This is why we see small and medium-intensity quakes in Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sohna, Panipat, and their impact is felt in Delhi," he said.</p>.<p>The Himalayan region, the northeast and the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago fall in Zone V of the seismic map of the country and these areas record a high number of seismic activities.</p>
