Eight booked for raping goat in Haryana

Eight people belonging to Haryana’s Mewat district have been booked for raping a goat, the police said Sunday. The goat was in the advanced stages of pregnancy and died a day after the men allegedly in an inebriated state performed unnatural sex with the 7-year old animal.

The police have sent the swab samples of the goat for forensic examination at the laboratory in Madhuban in Karnal. The accused who are absconding are said to have a criminal past. Police have registered a case under relevant of the Indian Penal Code including one which prohibits carnal intercourse against the order of nature with man, woman or animal and under the animal cruelty act.

Aslup Khan, the owner of the deceased goat said three of the accused were beaten up by the natives in Maroda village after he caught the accused in the unnatural act with his goat. Khan maintained that his goat went missing from the shed close to his house on Wednesday night. A few hours later, 27-year old Khan said he heard some noise and quickly went outside. On searching, he saw three men sexually assaulting his goat. After the three accused were beaten, Khan said they informed him that five other men had raped his goat earlier.
