Two FIRs were lodged against Assam singer Zubeen Garg on Saturday for allegedly making a derogatory comment on Bhupen Hazarika, the music maestro and this year's Bharat Ratna awardee posthumously.
The FIRs were lodged at Lanka in Hojai district and in Dispur police station here after an audio clip of Garg's remark on Hazarika was shared by many in social media.
Police said they are verifying the authenticity of the audio clip before initiating any action on the FIRs.
Garg is a popular Assamese singer, who also sung several in Hindi including the popular Bollywood number Ya Ali...
