HRD ministry to seek report from JNU on MMS clip

According to an HRD official, the issue is also likely to figure when the newly appointed vice chancellor of the university S K Sopory calls on HRD Minister Kapil Sibal on February 10.

"Taking this issue into notice, the Ministry would seeking a report from the the varsity," the official said.

Meanwhile, police is yet to receive a formal complaint from JNU which has been rocked by the video clip even as varsity officials said they would approach investigators only after completing their probe.

University officials are planning to finish their inquiry within a week with Chief Proctor H C Bohidar heading the probe panel.
