Prof Seshu Pasumarthy, who is appointed as the director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad, said it is indeed a pleasure and a challenge to assume the charge of the new institute.
“I must say I am happy. It is a big challenge that I have to shoulder,” Prof Seshu, professor of the Mechanical Engineering Department of IIT Bombay, said.
Prof Seshu holds a B Tech degree from NIT, Warangal (1984), M Tech from IIT Madras (1986) and PhD, also from IIT Madras( 1989).
Prof Seshu’s areas of interest are finite element modeling and computational solid
mechanics.
