Muhammed Sammer, 26, an Indian Union Muslim League worker from of Pandikkad was stabbed to death allegedly by CPM workers in Malappuram district late on Wednesday night.
While relatives of the deceased alleged that he was killed due to political rivalry, the local police and CPM local leadership maintained that a clash over personal issues led to the killing.
Three persons were held by the police in this connection.
