YSR Congress president and Opposition Leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday moved Hyderabad High Court seeking a probe by a central agency into the attack on him at the Visakhapatnam airport on October 25.

The Opposition leader through a writ petition at the Hyderabad high court made it clear that he had no faith in the ongoing inquiry by SIT of the Andhra Pradesh government. The Court is expected to take up the case for hearing on Thursday.
The petition named Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu as one of the eight respondents including AP DGP, Principal Secretary Home Department, SIT in charge ACP and Airport security in charge. The petitioner explaining the events of that day at the airport pointed out that the police, who are in a hurry to blame, have forgotten the conspiracy angle.
Meanwhile, the interrogation of the attacker by the SIT continued for the fourth day. The police continued questioning of close acquaintances of Srinivasa Rao including those who were in regular touch with him. Two women from Kanigiri of Prakasam district were called for questioning. One of them said to have told police that Rao was bragging that he will become famous after attacking a leader in Airport.
However, YSRCP legislator (Salur) P Rajanna Dora and another leader Majji Srinivasa Rao from Vijzianagar district refused to attend the questioning and said that they would submit affidavits in the court. Meanwhile, the state Home Minister China Rajappa said that the government will provide full protection to the accused and there is no need to worry about his safety.
