The decision was taken by a meeting of the state cabinet which met here today, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told reporters.
A distinguished civil servant, Chandrasekhar has held several key positions in Kerala and at the Centre before being appointed Cabinet Secretary by the UPA Government.
