Giving a taste of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS)'s election manifesto after a daylong meeting on Tuesday, party chief and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the TRS after coming to power will waive all agricultural loans up to Rs 1 lakh, benefitting 45 lakh farmers in the state.
“The waiver will be implemented hassle free unlike the earlier one, in a single stroke, he said.
In addition, the farmers' crop input assistance“Rythu Bandhu” will be increased from Rs 4,000 per acre to Rs 5,000 per acre per season,” KCR said addressing media. Disclosing some other points in the yet to be released manifesto, KCR said that TRS will give an unemployment dole of Rs 3,016 to qualified youth of the state after coming to power.
Similarly, he announced that different pensions under “Asara” scheme will also be enhanced bringing in 8 lakh more beneficiaries under the protection net. The eligibility for the pensions has been reduced to 57 years from 65 years. “We will further enhance the two-bedroom housing scheme. We will add 2,60,000 new houses,” he added. “There is a demand for some stabilisation fund for the poor in forward castes. We will create a corpus fund for that,” KCR said.
No hatred for Andhrites
KCR said he meant no harm to Telugus. All Andhra people are treated with affection in Telangana.
Cong manifesto copied
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Capt Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the TRS manifesto is a Xerox copy of the Congress party manifesto.
