Actress and MP from Chandigarh Kirron Kher had a "painful" experience at the Chandigarh airport where she went to receive Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan but ended up fracturing her left shoulder.
The Speaker's flight landed ahead of schedule and Kirron, who was part of the team to welcome Sumitra, along with other senior dignitaries, stumbled on the walkway towards the reception area at the airport. Reports stated that Kirron stepped on a wobbly tile, tripped and fell.
But Kirron did not realise that it is a fracture. She welcomed the Speaker and even dropped her at the Raj Bhavan. She then reached the government hospital in Sector 32 in Chandigarh where an X-Ray scan revealed a "minor fracture".
The actress-politician is, however, happy that the incident will not keep her away from the office for weeks.
The Speaker attended an event at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) on Sunday.
