Any person who touches or showers money on the dancers inside the bars are surely going to land in a  big trouble and can face a jail sentence with a hefty fine of whooping Rs 50,000.

The bar owners would be needed to install CCTV cameras at the entrance and the floors and owners will have to save recordings of the last 30 days. The bar owners will have to pay a fine of Rs 10 lakh or imprisonment of three years if any of the dancers is exploited.
These are part of the new bill on regulation of dance bars that was cleared by the Devendra Fadnavis-led BJP-Shiv Sena government on Monday.

The bill would be tabled in the Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday. The Maharashtra Legislative Council has okayed it.

The restrictions include that a dance bar cannot exist with a kilometer from school and place of worship, no alcohol in the bar room, and no vulgarity. The bar dancers also needed to be dressed properly.

The Supreme Court’s order to lift ban on dance bars few months ago prompted the Maharashtra government to constitute a 25-member panel to discuss the issue and come up with suggestions.
