Last Updated 03 May 2019, 10:29 IST

After the 2G scam Congress has prepared a long term plan for corruption with the introduction of “Priyanka G (Gandhi)” into politics, BJP president Amit Shah said on Tuesday. Taking a swipe at Congress over dynasty politics he said that this kind of politics can not do any good for the country.

“ With 2 G there was a scam of Rs. 12 lakh crore. Now with the addition of the third G (Priyanka Gandhi) just think what the amount will be? Now Priyanka Gandhi has arrived. With the addition of the third G to the existing 2 G (Sonia and Rahul Gandhi), Congress has prepared a long term plan for corruption,” Shah. He was addressing a party rally at Kanthi in East Medinipur district of West Bengal.

Dubbing the UPA government as the “Sonia-Manmohan government” Shah said that Congress and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) are the same when it comes to dynasty politics.

“ After Sonia Gandhi there is Rahul Gandhi in Congress. In TMC also after Mamata Banerjee her nephew-TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee-is ready to take over. Such dynastic politics cannot do any good for the country,” said Shah.

Shah also launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and alleged that her government will not take action against those who are involved in chit fund scams as they buy the Chief Minister;’s paintings paying huge sums.

“ Mamata di is a very talented painter. Her paintings are bought in crores of rupees by chit fund owners. In such a situation will there be any action against those involved in chit fund scam?... She (Banerjee) can’t do it because her paintings are bought by chit fund owners,” said Shah.

He further alleged that that TMC MP’s are also involved in chit fund scams and in cow smuggling at the Bengal’s border with Bangladesh.

Shah also said that the TMC government do not want to stop infiltration in Bengal as it infiltrators are its vote bank.

“ If you (people) infiltration-free Bengal only Narendra Modi and BJP can do it,” said Shah.

Demanding that the Chief Minister make her stand clear regarding the Citizenship Amendment Bill Shah said “ infiltrators, Rohingyas are welcome here (Bengal) but there is no space for refugees! I want to assure all refugees that the Modi government is working on granting citizenship to you.”

Shah also said that after the vote counting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Mamata Banerjee government’s days will be numbered. Soon after Shah’s rally clashes took place between TMC and BJP workers.

Earlier in the day, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb said that electoral history of the country has shown that every time the government was formed by such grand alliance it did not last for more than two and a half year. Deb was addressing a BJP rally at Arambagh in Hooghly district.
