Held up for around two hours at Swami Vivekananda Airport at Mana near Raipur, renowned Bhojpuri cine star and Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari vented his anger through a video post on Twitter.

The star campaigner of BJP was to address a public rally at Navagarh, but the pilot citing no permission for landing was reluctant to fly the helicopter.

Irritated with the long wait, Manoj Tiwari made a self-video and posted on his Twitter handle @ManojTiwariMP.

In the video, Tiwari stated, “For the last one-and-a-half hours I am standing at the Raipur Airport. My first public meeting was scheduled at Navagarh. But the pilot is saying the collector has not granted permission to land; it seems that purposely someone wants to disrupt the proposed meeting…The Election Commission should take cognisance of it...”

The video post went viral. At around 1 pm, Manoj Tiwari again tweeted, informing landing permission had been granted. He voiced suspicion of a conspiracy by the Congress.

Cong conspiracy?

The tweet stated: “Got permission for helicopter landing… I doubt that the conspiracy is at behest of @INCIndia, the Congressmen have so much fear…”

Bemetara Collector Mahadev Kaware, when contacted, said, “The Returning Officer (SDM) concerned had given the permission two days back. It seems the pilot of the helicopter did not accept the order of SDM. After it came to my notice, I immediately cleared the permission. In Chhattisgarh, the Returning Officer of assembly constituency concerned grants the permission.”
