Modi, Advani, Jaitley and Shah to vote in Ahmedabad

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his senior colleague and sitting parliamentarian from Gandhinagar L K Advani, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and party president Amit Shah will be casting their votes in Ahmedabad on Tuesday in polling booths that fall under Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.

Shah is contesting parliamentary polls for the first time from this seat, which used to be represented by party veteran Advani.

Sources said that on Tuesday morning, Shah will welcome Modi at Nishan High School polling booth.

Modi may meet mother

After casting vote, Modi is likely to meet his mother Hiraben, however, it has not been officially declared as yet.

On the other hand, Advani will cast his vote at Shahpur Hindi School in Khanpur area in Ahmedabad.

He is likely to hold a meeting in Gandhinagar before flying back to Delhi. While, Jaitely will arrive at Chimanbhai Patel Institute, SG Highway for casting vote.

“Modiji is arriving late on Monday evening and will stay overnight in Gandhinagar. He will be received by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja and state general secretary (organisation) Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya at the Ahmedabad international airport,” said a BJP leader.

On Tuesday all 26 Lok Sabha seats of Gujarat, neighbouring Union Territories Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and states like Kerala and Goa will go to polls in the third phase of seven-phase election.
