Don't be fooled by Modi and KCR: Rahul

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday called upon the people to expose secret understanding between the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Bharatiya Janata Party and vote them out in the 7 December elections. Addressing a public meeting at Gadwal he said that the remote of K Chandrasekhar Rao is in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Reasoning out, he said that there are only two political fronts in the country, the BJP front and the Congress Front. “In Telangana, too, there are only two groups -- Telangana Rashtra Samithi and People’s Front. And the TRS has a secret understanding with the BJP and both of them are working together,” he alleged. “TRS stood beside BJP in the election of President and Vice President, the passage of GST bill, demonetisation. KCR has never criticized Modi directly in any speech. This way TRS become T-RSS and KCR become Khao Commission Rao,” Rahul said.
Later at Tandur public rally, Rahul alleged that the TRS friendly party MIM is also cosying up with BJP at the centre. “MIM had fielded its candidates in Maharashtra and Assam assembly elections only to split the Congress votes so as to benefit the BJP. Their only ambition is to make Modi the Prime Minister again while retaining power in the state,” Rahul said.
He alleged that massive corruption had taken place in the construction of irrigation projects as the KCR government had escalated the projects costs abnormally in the name of redesigning. “For instance, the cost of Palamur-Ranga Reddy Lift Scheme which was estimated to cost Rs 10,000 crore originally, went up to Rs 60,000 crore, thanks to the looting of money by KCR’s family through commissions. The Congress, if voted to power in the elections, shall complete the project without any additional cost,” he said.
The Congress president charged Telangana chief minister with betraying all sections of people by not implementing the promises he had made before the last elections. “The unemployed youth were ditched as the government did not fill vacant jobs. Farmers did not get remunerative prices for their produce. When chilli farmers agitated for remunerative prices, he got them hand-cuffed and jailed,” he said.
Gandhi assured that if Congress was voted to power, it would waive crop loans of all farmers to the extent of Rs 1 lakh. “When Modi can waive Rs 3.50 lakh crore bank loans of just five individuals, why can’t we waive crop loans of farmers?” he asked.
