The Congress on Monday night fielded former Mumbai unit chief Sanjay Nirupam from Mumbai North-West while its Goa unit president Girish Chodankar will be in the fray from North Goa seat against Union minister Shirpad Yesso Naik.
Former chief minister Francisco Sardinha will be in the fray from South Goa, where the BJP has renominated sitting member Narendra Sawaikar.
In Chhattisgarh, former Union minister Charandas Mahant's wife Jyotsna will be the Congress candidate from Korba, while Pratima Chandrakar will contest from Durg.
In Daman & Diu, the local Congress unit chief Ketan Patel, who was arrested in an extortion case last year, has been fielded from the sole Lok Sabha seat in the Union Territory.
In West Bengal, Ranajit Mukherjee, the secretary of the AICC's research department, will contest from Bardhaman-Durgapur Lok Sabha seat.
