PM LS campaign to take him to UP, Odisha

Ahead of the oncoming Lok Sabha Polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah are expected to address anywhere between 125 and 150 rallies from the last week of March to mid-May, when the polling comes to an end.

The report on Hindustan Times says that the schedule for the two leaders is being finalised. Two BJP leaders, on condition of anonymity, said that Modi will begin his campaign in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and will address a rally in Jammu and Kashmir on the same day. The leader also said that Modi is expected to visit Odisha, Assam and West Bengal.

The second leader said that the party is chalking the plan in a way to ensure Modi can visit each state in every round of the election. Among the plan is a video conference with supported of his "Main Bhi Chowkidar" campaign.

The two leaders said the party has collated the entire country into different clusters and Modi will attend rallies in each of them, which comprise of three-four parliamentary seats each.

The report said that UP, with the highest number of seats in the country, would see 20-odd clusters, with Modi visiting every one of them, while Bihar and West Bengal will see Modi address at least 10 rallies.

The BJP leader said that the goal of the party is to at least repeat the performance it showed in 2014, where it won 104 seats between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, two of the most populous states in India.
