Newborn twins killed in Kerala

 In a gruesome pointer to rising crimes in Kerala’s domestic spaces, two one-day-old infants were found murdered at their parents’ home at Kolahalamedu in Idukki district on Friday.

The incident came to light when Bijisha (23), the mother of the infant twins, visited the Kottayam Medical College on Friday for treatment following excessive bleeding. The woman informed the doctors that the bleeding was the result of an abortion but the doctors were not convinced.

After confirming that Bijisha had delivered the babies, hospital authorities probed her further. She confirmed the childbirth and later, along with her husband Praveen, brought the bodies of the infants to the hospital. Peermade police have registered a case.
