Nitish in Delhi to attend JD-U national executive

Last Updated 07 July 2018, 17:14 IST

Amid the seat-sharing tussle in the NDA and a buzz about political realignment, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar arrived on a two-day visit to the national capital.

During this, he will give final touches to the party's political strategy at JDU's national executive on Sunday.

While Kumar was huddled in a three-hour long meeting with his party strategists here on Saturday night, leaders of two other NDA allies from Bihar Ram Vilas Paswan and Upenra Kushwaha left for abroad for their "pre-scheduled visits" and will not be in Delhi when Kumar chairs JDU's meeting.

Sources in the JD-U ruled out any dramatic development saying the next course of the party depends on the July 12 meeting between BJP chief Amit Shah and Nitish Kumar in Patna.

While Kushwaha left today for a week-long tour of three nations USA, Marshal Island and South Korea, Paswan left for Geneva to participate in an event of United Nations on consumer affairs issues.
