Hyderabad: A local court in Dharmabad of Maharashtra on Friday has refused to grant exemption to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and 13 others from appearing over a non-bailable warrant issued to them. The NBWs were issued for violating orders during agitation against Babli barrage 10 years ago.

The court while granting bail to three Telangana leaders on Friday refused to take the “Recall Petition” filed by the lawyers on behalf of the chief minister and 12 others.

Judicial First-Class Magistrate, Dharmabad of Nanded district in Maharashtra NR Ghajbiye ordered the police to arrest the TDP leaders, including Naidu and present them before him on September 21. The Civil Judge, Junior Division, Dharmabad had set the first hearing of the case on August 31, 2013.

Naidu has sent his lawyers to file a petition to recall the NBW issued against him.
