In a huge benefit to airline passengers, Air India on Friday said it will sell last-minute tickets at a “hefty discount”.
The carrier said it would to sell last-minute inventory within three hours of departure. But the airline did not quantify the discount.
The new scheme will come in force from Saturday, the airline said in a statement.
Generally, customers are forced to shell out over 40% or more over the ticket fare on last-minute bookings.
Now, last-minute travellers can book tickets at much cheaper rates, the airline added.
