Partnership summits bring Rs 16 l cr investment to AP

The three partnership summits organized by the state of Andhra Pradesh have attracted investments to a tune of Rs 16,12,316 cr and at least 2721 industries are in different stages of completion. The state hopes that around 36.40 lakh youth will get employment opportunity after the completion of all these projects.

In a statement, the government has said that it is concentrating on skill development of students to make them industry ready. “Being ahead in Ease of Doing business continuously and prevailing ecosystem industrial giants are looking forward to investing in Andhra Pradesh in a big way,” the statement said.

The recently concluded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s one to one interaction with top most industrialists at Mumbai indicated a positive sign of industrial growth in the state. In an interaction of CM with Rata Tata and officials of Tata group at Tata Experience centre, Mumbai, the Tata group evinced interest to set up units to produce electric vehicles including public transport system, aircraft manufacturing unit at Puttaparthi and to build hotels, resorts and convention centres on a large scale. Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Tirupati have been declared as model electric mobility cities.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries Ltd said to have shown interest to invest in AP including industrial parks. It may be noted that the Reliance jio entered into a MoU with AP during last partnership summit to set up mobile manufacturing unit near Tirupati. Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of Aditya Birla Group met Chief Minister and explained about the expansion plans of Aditya Birla group in AP.

Nadir Godrej, MD of Godrej industries and chairman of Godrej Agrovet evinced interest to set up a fertilizer plant in AP. The Mahindra World City developers Limited CEO Sangeeta Prasad showed interest to introduce world city concept in AP on lines of Mahindra world city, Jaipur.

As part of the process, world class solar parks are coming up in Kurnool district. Cellkon, Foxconn mobile companies started production in Chittoor district and the Holytech Company came forward to set up mobile ancillary parts unit in Tirupati. Several IT companies including Fintech set up companies in Visakhapatnam and HCL technology is going to provide employment to youth in a big way in Vijayawada.
