Petrol bomb burled at CPI (M) headquarters in TN

Unidentified miscreants hurled a country-made bomb at CPI-M office headquarters in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu.

Police said two persons, who came by two-wheeler, hurled petrol bomb inside the party office situated at Gandhipuram in Coimbatore district.

However, no one injured in the incident. A car parked inside the compound of CPI-M office was partially damaged. A senior police official said that a case has been registered and a special team has been formed to nab the culprits.

He said police squad along with sniffer dogs and forensic experts visited the spot and conducted preliminary inquiries. The police were also checking the footage recorded by CCTV cameras in the area to identify the miscreants.

Meanwhile, various political leaders including opposition DMK working president M K Stalin condemned the incident and demanded the government to take necessary action to arrest the persons, who involved in the incident.
