Pulwama was a result of intelligence failure: Owaisi

Lashing out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Pulwama terror attack, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday said that it was a result of political, intelligence and diplomatic failure.

Addressing a mammoth rally at the historic Shivaji Park here under the banner of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi along with Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh founder-president Prakash Ambedkar, Owaisi wanted to know how terroists acquired 200 kgs of RDX.

Owaisi also targetted Pakistani premier Imran Khan saying that speaking before TV camera would not end terrorism.

"I want to know how 200 kgs RDX reach the terrorists.... was the intelligence department sleeping after eating biryani," he said.

"I also say that it is diplomatic failure as Modi hosted the Chinese president (Xi Jingping) in Ahmedabad but they support Pakistan," he said.

Owaisi also questioned the delayed response of Modi on various issues. "He is now saying we are not against Kashmiris but against terrorist... but he is not removing the (Meghalaya) governor (Tathagatha Roy)...on mob-lynching he spoke after six days, post Una, he spoke after 8 days,' he said.

On Imran Khan he said: "US president Donald Trump may believe you, we do not."

He also said that Maulana Masood Azhad, the chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed, that is responsible for Pulwama attack, is a disciple of "shaitan".
