Rahul calls TRS, Telangana Rashtriya Sangh Parivar

Last Updated 25 July 2019, 10:58 IST

Terming the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as Telangana Rashtriya Sangh Parivar, AICC chief Rahul Gandhi gave a call to voters to defeat both the parties in the ensuing assembly elections and then in the 2019 General elections.

Rahul also saw the defeat of the BJP in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Telangana. He was addressing first election meeting here on Wednesday, as a part of his three-day whirlwind tour to the election-bound state.

Taking on Prime Minister Modi’s allegation in Nizamabad on Tuesday that TRS is hand in glove with the Congress; Rahul said that TRS has supported every single bill that the communal BJP has introduced in both the house of the Parliament.

“When we are fighting for the land acquisition bill, TRS helped Modi and there after all the bills. This is not TRS, but Telangana Rashtriya Sangh Parivar,” Rahul said.

Rahul said that when he confronted TRS MPs why they support the bills introduced by BJP, they told that KCR has asked them to do so. “I want to know why KCR never said anything about Rafal deal, attacks on minorities and the weaker sections,” Rahul said.
There is a wave against TRS.

Rahul saw a wind of change in Telangana and said that the current wave will decimate TRS. “This time the People‘s Front will come into power in Telangana,” he said. He assured voters particularly the migrant labour, that the Congress-led alliance will full the dreams of those who fought for Telangana.

Rahul accused the TRS government of converting the revenue surplus state of Telangana into a state with huge debt burden. “KCR hiked Kaleswaram project cost by whopping Rs 40,000 cr just by renaming and redesigning it,” Rahul said alleging large-scale corruption. He further said similar kind of corruption took place in Mission Bhagirathi and Mission Kakatiya just by painting old water tanks built under Congress government.

Rahul promised that the Congress-led government in Telangana will give Rs 1 lakh to each one of the women self-help groups, one lakh private and government jobs in one year, Rs 3000 dole per month to unemployed, free medical aid up to Rs 5 lakh, 300 bedded hospital in every Block and Rs 5 lakh for construction of houses under Indiramma scheme.

TPCC Chief Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy and working president Revanth Reddy also addressed the public meeting.
