Rahul to visit Telangana for two days

First time after taking the reins of Congress, Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Telangana for two days from 13 August to rejuvenate party cadre which is in a state of slumber following the sever drubbing in 2014 elections after the party bifurcated the Telugu states. The itinerary of Rahul also includes lunch at the world famous Paradise hotel in Secunderabad on the second day of his trip.

Rahul during his earlier visit to Hyderabad surprised everyone by suddenly visiting Chutneys hotel for a quick grub. Known for his fondness for Hyderabadi Biryani he also dropped in at the AP Bhavan in Delhi to taste his favourite delicacy. The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has entrusted two of its senior leaders to accompany the party president to Paradise where he will be offered the best of the Kebabs and Biryani.

During the two-day visit Rahul will be meeting the students of Osmania University to inflict embarrassment to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He will also address a public meeting. The students of the historical campus that witnessed pitched battles for Telangana state, is in not books with KCR after he become the CM. “The Party president will be participating in the party’s “Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra” to encourage party workers and will address several sections of people during his two day visit,” state Party working committee president Mallu Bhattivikramarka said.

As per the itinerary sent to AICC for confirmation, Rahul’s programme will include a rally with 5000 motorbikes from the airport, a meeting with women self help groups in Rajendranagar, public meeting in Serilingampally. He will also address Muslim intelligentsia before retiring for the day.

On 14 August, he will have darshan at Peddamma temple in Jubilee hills and address party workers of Khairatabad constituency and will meet editors at the Press club. After lunch at Paradise hotel the party president will address meetings at Osmania University, Sanatnagar and Goshamaha in old city. After summing up two day visit with another meeting in Quli Qutubshah stadium and dinner at historic Madeena hotel in old city he will leave for Delhi.
