Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said the so-called grand alliance partners will start #MeToo campaign against the Congress after the 2019 general election.

“After they realise that the Congress has cheated them they will be leading their own #MeToo campaign,” Rajnath said while addressing the national convention of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), which began here on Saturday.

The home minister said whichever party comes into the Congress fold is bound to be doomed.

'Playing with national security'

Rajnath also said that the Congress is ‘willingly or unwillingly’ playing with the national security by raking up false propaganda against the Rafale deal.

“The deal was signed in the national interest and it would give India battle-ready jets,” he said.

By raising questions about the nuts and bolts of Rafale, the Opposition may be helping the country’s enemies. “The Congress thinks that if it makes noise and misleads people, the number of BJP seats will go down. However, every time they make a hue and cry, the BJP grow,” he said.

Singh asked BJP’s youth wing not to rest till the BJP gets 350 seats in the 2019 general election.

The home minister alleged that all parties were afraid of growing strength of the BJP and hence they were coming together under a grand alliance to fight the elections. “They have no agenda linked to the national interest. Their only agenda is Modi ko roko,” he said.

BJYM national president Poonam Mahajan said the BJYM would play a key role in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. She urged the workers to dedicate themselves to achieve BJP’s victory with a huge majority.

Several Union ministers and chief ministers of BJP-ruled states will be addressing the BJYM convention, being held with the theme “Vijay Lakshya 2019”.
